Steve Ayers

Steve Ayers has been active in steel construction, real estate and development for the past 29 years. Started with Armour Steel Company, Inc. in 1989, working in every facet of the business from manufacturing, field operations, Project Manager, to Principal. The following is a preliminary outline of various areas of the firm that he played a key role in.

Today, as the company, Chief Executive Officer, Steve remains active in many of the above disciplines.

One of Steve current development projects is the revitalization of the Elks Building, a 14 Story Historic Office Building located at the corner of 11th and J Street in Sacramento. This involved site acquisition, entitlements, permitting, financing, coordination of design, securing of tenants, the successful negotiation of bringing McCormick and Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant to Sacramento, all of which has transformed the Elks into a successful mixed use development. Steve is also currently in the initial steps of land assemblage and securing entitlement for a 1,000,000 sq. ft. mixed use development at the North East Corner of North 7th Street and North B Street in the River District. This project (River Garden Office, LLC) promises to help transform the River District, along with Township 9, into a vibrant community providing further opportunity to live, work, and play in the River District.

Outside the firm, Steve is involve in various other endeavors, they include past President of the River District, Board Member of the River District, Board Member for Associated General Contractors of California, Board Member of Sutter Hospital Foundation, and Editorial Board Member of Comstock’s Magazine.
